About the service
We provide two separate search services: a free operator licence lookup and a paid Transport Manager lookup. The paid Transport Manager lookup is a private public-record research service built from publicly available information, including government data and APIs. It is not an official DVSA register and we are not DVSA, the Traffic Commissioners or another government service.
Public information can be incomplete, delayed, duplicated or wrong. A same-name match does not prove identity, appointment, professional competence, good repute or suitability. You must verify important information against current official sources and with the person or operator concerned before relying on it.
Transport Manager credits
One credit opens one matched Transport Manager record. Credit packs are one-off purchases. They are not subscriptions and do not renew automatically.
Stripe hosts checkout and processes payment. We do not receive or store your full card details. Stripe may offer Apple Pay, Google Pay or other payment methods when they are available for your browser, device and Stripe checkout session.
Your credit wallet is linked to an opaque, secure cookie in the browser used for checkout. Complete checkout and return using that browser. Purchased credits do not expire. If access is lost, use credit recovery with the email address used at checkout.
Agreement and immediate digital supply
Before checkout you must actively tick an unchecked box to give your prior express request for immediate supply of the digital credits, agree to these terms, confirm that you have read the Privacy Policy, and acknowledge that you lose the statutory 14-day cancellation right once supply begins. Supply begins when the purchased credits are added to your browser wallet and are available to use. This does not affect rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights where digital content is faulty or is not supplied as agreed.
If credits do not arrive, cannot be recovered, or the paid service is faulty, contact us with the email address and Stripe receipt reference used for the purchase. Never send full card details.
Corrections and adding a record
A Transport Manager can ask us to add their record or change information we hold by emailing info@operatorlicencecheck.co.uk or using our correction and removal form. At first contact, tell us which record is concerned and the change you want. We may ask for proportionate evidence only if reasonably needed to verify the request or prevent a fraudulent change. A change to this service does not alter any official government or DVSA record.
Fair use
You may use the service for lawful personal or business checks. You must not scrape or bulk-copy the register, automate searches, evade rate limits or access controls, reverse engineer privacy protections, try to reveal masked information without a credit, resell the data, or use the service unlawfully or to harm another person. We may limit or suspend access reasonably needed to protect people, data and the service.
Responsibility and liability
You are responsible for deciding whether a result relates to the person you intend to check and for independently verifying it. We do not promise that the lookup records are complete, continuously available or free from errors. You should not make a decision solely on the basis of an unverified match.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where the law does not allow it, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or applicable statutory rights relating to digital content.
Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms when the service, law or suppliers change. The version presented at checkout applies to that purchase. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, while consumers retain any mandatory protections that apply where they live.
